Holiday Break Update

Please note that the offices of Open Road Communications will be closed for holiday break from Friday, Dec. 22 through Tuesday, Jan. 02. Much family will be visited, many festivities will be undertaken, and recuperation will make itself known. Hope you experience much the same over the coming weeks.

Thanks also to the Rotary Club in Shawnee Mission, KS, for their hospitality in having me twice as their guest this past month. It is rewarding to revisit an organization that contributed so much to me at an early age.

Wyandot Center

I continue to be impressed with all the buzz going on in Wyandotte County. Last night, I attended an After Hours event at the Wyandot Center at 1301 N. 47th Street in Kansas City, KS. It is an impressive new building and the mental health services the center provides are expanding notably. The Chamber event allowed visitors to receive a guided tour as well as to mingle with other local businesses. Beyond the highly touted entertainment and shopping district popping up around the Speedway and Legends, lots of organizations continue to toil behind the scenes.

Here at Open Road, we welcome this vitality in our community and look forward to continuing to contribute to it as well. Kudos to services, entrepreneurs and industry!

On the Road,
Eric J. Reid
